Thank you for trusting myPawPair to be part of your pet care journey. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. If you have any questions or concerns about this privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) or how we handle your information, please contact us at privacy@mypawpair.com.
When you visit our website at mypawpair.com and use the myPawPair Platform, you trust us with your personal information, and we take that seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have in relation to it. We have worked to make it as clear and straightforward as possible.
This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected through the myPawPair Platform. Capitalized terms used in this Privacy Policy but not otherwise defined herein have the meanings assigned to them in our Terms of Service.
1. Personal Information You Share With Us
We collect personal information that you provide when you create a myPawPair account, add a pet profile, use Platform features, or reach out to us directly. This includes information you share when signing up, managing your account, or interacting with any part of the Platform.
The information we collect depends on how you use the Platform, the features you engage with, and the choices you make. This may include:
Name and contact information
We collect your first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number, and other similar contact information.
Location information
We collect information about your location to provide Platform features, such as identifying pet care providers in your area. This may include “coarse” location (e.g., city or zip code) or “precise” location data (e.g., GPS coordinates) via third party mapping integrations (such as Google Places) if you enable these permissions on your device. We use this information solely to facilitate your search and provide relevant results within the Platform.
Account credentials
We collect passwords and related security information used to create and access your myPawPair account.
Pet profile information
We collect information you provide about your pet, including their name, breed, age, weight, health history, veterinary records, medications, and any other details you choose to add to their profile.
Payment information
We use Stripe, a trusted third-party payment processor, to securely handle all transactions on myPawPair. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers. We may retain limited payment-related information such as the last four digits of your card, card type, and transaction details for recordkeeping and customer support purposes. For more information on how your payment data is handled, please review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
2. Information Collected Automatically
When you visit or use the myPawPair Platform, certain information is collected automatically. This information does not identify you personally. It does not include your name or contact details, but may include technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, and information about how and when you use the platform. This data is primarily used to keep myPawPair secure, maintain platform performance, and support our internal analytics. Like most digital platforms, we also collect certain information through cookies and similar technologies.
3. Information We Collect From Other Sources
In some cases, we may receive limited information about you from outside sources such as public databases, joint marketing partners, or other third parties. This may include social media profile information and marketing or search-related data. We use this information only to improve and personalize your experience on myPawPair and to support our communications with you.
4. How Do We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve myPawPair, fulfill our commitments to you, and comply with our legal obligations. Specifically, we use your information to:
- Create and manage your account. If you choose to link your myPawPair account to a third-party account such as Google or Facebook, we use the information you authorize us to collect from those services to make signing in easier.
- Send you updates and communications. We may send you information about new features, platform updates, and changes to our terms or policies. We may also send marketing and promotional communications. You can opt out of these at any time.
- Process your payments and manage your subscription. We use your information to process payments, manage your myPawPair subscription, and handle any refunds or billing-related matters.
- Personalize your experience. We may use your information to tailor content and recommendations to your interests and location, and to measure how well those efforts are working.
- Request your feedback. We value your input and may reach out to ask for feedback to help us improve the Platform.
- Keep the Platform safe and secure. We use your information as part of our efforts to monitor for fraud, prevent abuse, and maintain the security of the Platform.
- Respond to legal requests. If we receive a subpoena or other legal request, we may need to review the information we hold to determine how to respond.
- Improve our Platform and services. We may use your information for internal purposes such as data analysis, identifying usage trends, and evaluating the effectiveness of our features and communications, all with the goal of making myPawPair better for you and your pet.
5. Will Your Information Be Shared With Anyone
We do not sell your personal information.
We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- To comply with the law. We may disclose your information when required to do so by law, court order, subpoena, or government request, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
- To protect rights and safety. We may share your information when we believe it is necessary to investigate or prevent fraud, address potential violations of our policies, respond to situations involving threats to the safety of any person, or use as evidence in litigation we are involved in.
- In connection with a business transfer. If myPawPair is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that process. We will notify you if this occurs and if your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With trusted service providers. We work with third-party service providers, such as Stripe for payment processing, Google Places to help you locate providers, and our technology infrastructure partners, who assist us in operating the Platform. We use Stripe to process payments for subscriptions and services. Stripe collects and processes your payment information (such as credit card details) directly through their secure infrastructure. When you interact with our location features, certain information (such as your search queries and general location data) may be transmitted to and processed by Google. These third-party service providers operate under their own terms of service and privacy policies, and we will only share the minimum information necessary to facilitate these integrations.
- With your consent. We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent. You will always be informed and given the choice before we do so.
7. How Long Do We Keep Your Information
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the myPawPair Services and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, including for tax, accounting, legal, security, or fraud prevention purposes.
If you choose to close your myPawPair account, your account will be deactivated and removed from public view. We may maintain your information for up to thirty (30) days following your deletion request to allow you to reactivate your account if the request was made in error.
After this period, we will delete or de-identify your personal information and private pet records, including pet profiles, milestone tracking information, and uploaded documents, unless retention is required by law or necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and platform.
Certain content you voluntarily contribute to public areas of the Services, such as provider reviews, ratings, or community discussions, may remain available after account closure in a de-identified form that no longer reasonably identifies you.
In some cases, information may continue to exist in secure backup systems for a limited period until routine deletion processes are completed. During this time, the information will be isolated from active use.
Prior to requesting permanent deletion, you may request a copy of your personal information and pet records, where applicable, by contacting us at privacy@mypawpair.com.
8. How Do We Keep Your Information Safe
We have put in place technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal information. These measures are intended to safeguard your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.
While we are committed to industry-standard security practices, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. You should only access myPawPair through a secure internet connection and take reasonable steps to protect your own account credentials.
If you have concerns about the security of your account or believe your information may have been compromised, please contact us immediately at privacy@mypawpair.com.
9. Do We Collect Information From Minors
myPawPair is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from or market to anyone under the age of 18. By using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are the parent or legal guardian of a minor using the Platform with your consent and supervision.
If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a user under the age of 18, we will deactivate the account and take prompt steps to delete that information from our records. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us right away at privacy@mypawpair.com.

A Note on the Sale of Personal Information
myPawPair does not sell your personal information. Based on the definition of “sell” under the CCPA and current regulatory guidance, we have not engaged in the sale of personal information and have not done so in the past twelve months.
11. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. Any updates will be effective upon posting to the Platform.
If we make substantial changes to the way we handle your personal information, we will notify you by displaying a notice on the Platform before the change takes effect. We may also notify you by email. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information.
We are committed to maintaining your trust. We will not use your personal information in a manner materially different from what was disclosed at the time it was collected without first providing you with notice and the opportunity to opt-out or consent where required by law.
